Abigail Jarret from the Ram Lab and Susana Orozco from the Oberst Lab taught a workshop on junk food protein quantification at this years Seattle Expanding Your Horizon Conference. Just down the hall several members of the Gale lab led a workshop focused on exploring innate immunity and infectious disease. Members of the Gale lab were even featured on KING5 local news! "Seattle Expanding Your Horizons (SEYH) is a hands-on conference that encourages girls to explore the world of math, science and technology. Women biologists, botanists, engineers, veterinarians, and many other local professional women enthusiastically volunteer their time to host workshops that introduce girls to exciting careers involving math, science and computer technology."
